Hi everyone,
I got in! I'm starting an ASN program in August. I very excited about it. It's a two year program, I'll finish in May '06.
Many of you may know that I had my mind set on an accelerated BSN program. Well things change. The schedule for this ASN program was far more family friendly than the accelerated BSN program. I'll have the opportunity to work as an extern next summer (accelerated BSN doesn't offer that). And here is the clincher: the ASN students at this program loved their instructors/preceptors. That sealed the deal. I plan on persuing an RN > BSN or RN > MSN eventually, but for now, ASN it is.
It is SUCH A RELIEF to have plans for the Fall. "Plan B" is officially shelved -- My second career is underway!
