hey fellow nursing students and future nursing students. I had a wonderful 2016 in regards to my schooling. Back in 2014 i decided to go back to college for nursing and I made me a list of SHORT term goals and a list of long term goals. My short term goals consisted of finishing my prerequisites with great grades that would allow me to get into nursing school. I accomplished my goals on track. For my first long term goal was to be able to get accepted into a nursing program in 2016. I officially start in 2 weeks. This past year has been amazing and stressful at the same time. My grades were great and I am hoping to have a lucky year just like I had in 2016. Setting short term goals really took away a lot of my anxiety I had about getting into nursing school because I was so focused on them that my applying time snuck up on me. I didn't get into the first school I applied to so I transferred from our local CC to Cal State East Bay. I was able to take three mandatory upper division classes that is required in order to receive your bachelors. I was preparing myself to have to go through with my second option which was a BS in Health Science and transition into an accelerated program. While in school I decided to still apply to nursing programs at the local CC and I ended up being accepted. I also learned that once I finish nursing school and apply to the bridge programs I will have to take a series of non nursing courses that some bay area state schools want you to have. Guess what... the three classes that I just took at CSUEB will fit in those spaces so this semester wasn't a waste after all. So excited to start on my next goals that I wish to accomplish. How do you feel about your experience so far?

Sounds like you've got the bases covered. A little optimism coupled with sound financial decisions are always a winning combination.
