HESI exit thrown out one week before the last day of class because of cheating

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to vent about some news that everyone had received during class today.

Our program director came in to inform us that some students had bought all versions of the Hesi exit sometime after the first Hesi exit was administered.

Our last course requires we pass the hesi with a 900 out of 3 tries and the only way to be able to take the 3rd try is if the student is passing the course with a 74%. Our highest hesi conversion % is worth 30% of overall class grade while lowest counts as 10%. 3rd hesi isn't worth a grade, just having to score a 900 in order to graduate on time. We also have 2 comprehensive exams worth 30% each.

So now, our second hesi is thrown out. Whether you passed it or not, doesn't matter. The first hesi is now worth 40%. So, the higher grade some people may have worked hard for in the 2nd hesi does not count. Some people are failing now and the comprehensive 2 is less than a week away. 2 days after comp 2 is the 3rd "hesi" which will now be a comp 3 (exact length and time to test for this one is unknown). The passing score for this comp 3 is 82%, which will not count for a grade. And if the student does not pass, this last course will have to be repeated instead of getting "extended incomplete" and getting time to remediate for next time to test.

Now, I did not pass my first hesi, I made a 75%. 1st comp I got an 82, 2nd hesi was an 859 which converted to 80. So now instead of sitting at an 80%, my score is going to drop a few points due to removing that 80...2nd comp is approaching...

I'm so stressed out guys! And with less than a week until the last day of class! Sorry for the long explanation of grades, it's just...I'm so livid that everyone else is getting punished for something other students did! Now there's a strong possibility I will fail this course due to this happening!!

Oh my stars! I don't believe everyone should be punished. That's down right wrong to me. I didn't even know you could buy HESI versions. That's scary. I hope everything works out for you :)
