Help please!!

Our clinical group is going to be on a telemetry unit and I need some hints on remembering where to place the leads on the pts chest. I know there are little poems etc to help us remember...if you know any, please post them.

Also, I keep getting the -olols, -prils, ACE, CCB's confused, any hints on keeping the meds straight, let me know. Thanks.

Is it a 3 lead or a 5 lead system?

white on right, smoke over fire.

THat's for the three lead.

I don't place telemetry often at all, but usually there is a picture on the back of the tele box that shows where the leads go.

For the five lead system same as above and the brown lead goes to the center of the chest and green lead goes on lower right. (snow on top of grass) hope this helps :)

Snow over grass (white above green)

Smoke over fire (black above red)

Brown in the middle

Thanks, that one about snow/grass, smoke/fire was the one I had heard before. Some are 4 lead, some are 5.
