Graduation Fees?

Just wondering for the rest of you senior students graduating....

What are your fees to petition to graduate?

cap and gown fees?

pin fees?

are you taking professional class pictures?

I paid 15 to petition

cap and gown is 30

and someone in my class wants to bring in a pro photographer to take a pic of us for 12.

another thing......... I don't even think my school has a "pinning ceremony" noone has mentioned it. Only in our nursing manual for the college it does state that only a graduate can wear this "special pin" that can be purchased from the school bookstore.

Our cap/gown/hood is $60, pin $48, graduation fee $15,new uniform for pinning ceremony $30+ (we can wear anything that's all white and it doesn't have to be a dress for the ladies, but we can't wear the pants with the knit cuffs). NCLEX review $200+, Saunders test $35, NCLEX test $200+, license fee $35. That's all I can think of right now. That's a lot of $$.

Oops,I forgot about pictures, we had to pay $25 for 4 wallet sized pictures, 2 with a nurse's cap and 2 w/o a cap(for licensure and to put with the nclex application). If we want, we can order more for $24 a sheet.

I cannot remember the fees as it has been to long but I love my nursing graduation picture. I looked so young and excited! We did not have a pinning ceremony but my pin was 60 in 1986.

Ours is about $500 for everything everyone else has mentioned. What is the pin made out of? Gold? They are expensive little things.

RN2B~MAY4ME I have to laugh - Next yr. will be my 10th wedding annv. & I wanted to go to Disney World again to celebrate - But, I will be in school till August ++++ I wanted to go Nurse's Week (which our Annv. falls in that time frame), so I will not be a full fledge nurse until summer of 04 HOPEFULLY. So, I guess I will have to wait until 05 to go.
