Graduating with Honors Diploma?

Hi guys. I am currently a senior in high school, and enrolled in college for this fall. I hope to graduate with a BSN in 3 years (yes, I have a plan for that, and yes, it is feasible) and then continue my education to become a CRNA. Because of my achievements in high school, I have the opportunity to go through an advanced track in college and earn an Honors Diploma. I would rather not do this because I will already be working on overdrive to graduate in 3 years, and I know I will have to keep my GPA up to be competitive to further my education. My questions are: how much of edge would an Honors Diploma give me when applying to CRNA school? And, will the fact that I received a 4 year degree in 3 years be looked at as a positive, negative, or neutral thing? Thank you for your time!

I think seeing that you completed your degree in three years is a neutral thing. However, GPA is very important when applying to grad school. As for the Honors Diploma- I think it would look good, but I don't think it would make/break your application.

People won't care that you finished your degree in soandso amount of time unless it took you much longer than normal. The GPA is a big thing, though.

Any other opinions on the Honors Diploma vs a regular diploma? The application due date is coming up and I am still conflicted.

Having honors is always better than not having honors. I am assuming you are talking about applications for BSN?

Sorry I think I initially misunderstood your question! The application for the Honors College is due soon.

Sorry, I have no idea what "Honors College" even means.

I think it might offer more financial aid options, but if you are already maximizing your class load, taking honors might be too much. Only you can know what is right and what you can handle. If taking Honors classes is going to kill your GPA, don't do it. If you can ACE your Honors classes then take them. For most programs your GPA counts for more than if you took honors classes. Don't over due it.
