Get into grad school with B's?

Hi everyone, just looking for some advice and guidance.

I'm a junior in a BSN program. I already know that I hope to go back to school and obtain my MSN. I've always been an A student in high school and prerequisites, but in some of my nursing classes, I've been getting B+/B's. While I know I should be thankful for these grades, I can't help to feel slightly inadequate.

So far, I've gotten a B+ in fundamentals (...by 0.01 points), and just found out that I finished my 6 week OB with a B+ as well. I got an A- in Care of the Adult 1, and an A in Pathopharmacology I and Health Assessment. I'm not really expecting a A in pathopharmacology II this semester either. Hopefully I can earn an A in my 6 week pediatric class starting next week.

Below an 80 in my class is failing. Again, I know I should be thankful that I am doing well in class and clinical. If I continue like this, will this be good enough to be accepted by grad schools? I also tutor at the learning commons at my school.

You'll be fine. It depends on what kind of MSN you're looking for, but really, most general MSN programs aren't all that competitive. If you were going for something like CRNA you might be faced with more competition. Many MSN programs don't even require that you take the GRE if your GPA is above a certain level, usually about a 3.4 (B+ average).

Thank you for the information. At this point in time, I really have no interest in CRNA. My interests lie more in primary care, so either FNP or PNP (depending on how much I enjoy my pediatric clinicals)

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that by some miracle, I actually finished my OB class with an A-!! I ended up doing way better on my ATI final than I expected to. A bit of a relief. I still now I have tons of work ahead of me, but it's quite a relief to be finished.
