GateWay LPN Fall 2016

Hello everyone ! Is everyone that's starting this fall as nervous as I am ? How are you guys getting ready ? So I am taking my second part of A&P and Development psych this summer, but I need to take Psych 101 over. Is it wise to do it in block one ? Would taking 3 courses this summer be too much ? I really want to do NAU's AAS-mid BSN program so I need to get these last 3 courses out the way while not letting my GPA drop. I Need Help ! Is anyone in the same boat as me?

Having done GateWay's "fast track" lpn myself a few years back, I personally wouldn't take any other classes while in the program if at all possible. Block 1 is a grinder, designed to separate the wheat from the chaff & block 2 will kick even the best students in the behind - o.b. & peds is no joke in any nursing program, much less an lpn program where they're packing you full of information so fast.

I might try summer psych & be ready to drop at the first class if you get an instructor that looks too picky, or revise your timeline. Nursing school makes "a" students into "c" students all day long, you're lucky to survive at all, much less on a tight schedule.

I'm not trying to be a wet blanket, or to say it isn't possible, just prepare to be humbled.
