First semester of real nursing classes this spring!

At my school our program is a direct entry program. I am already in the program but our cohort just finished up Microbiology :woot:. I am taking in the spring Health Assessment with lab, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, and Foundations. Any tips on the classes and how to manage study time for each of them? Any supplement books you all would recommend? I just love the incredibly made series (saved my butt in A&P).

I bet this book is already required but I recommend Physical Examination and Health Assessment by Carolyn Jarvis. It breaks down physical exam techniques really well. Otherwise, ask your clinical instructor lots of questions about how you properly conduct certain exams. For pharm, I recommend downloading Micromedex as an app. It's free.

For nursing school in general, I recommend Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX by Mary Ann Hogan. It allowed me to study less than my classmates but yet get higher than average scores on my tests. I almost feeling like I'm cheating when I use it because it practically gives me all the answers - in a direct, simplified format - to any question your instructor can think of.
