Hey all! This is a sad day for me. I want to cry. The passing grade for this exam was an 80 and i got an 78!! Im so upset with myself because i feel like i studied so much and it did not pay off. I studied for a week straight and for hours at a time! I once studied for 5 hrs one night. I felt exhausted and drained and i still don't understand why i did not pass. Im really upset with myself. Can anyone offer tips on how they had a successful first semester and let me know if I'm doing anything wrong. PLEASE & THANK YOU!! This is greatly appreciated. By the way I'm doing good in my Lab/Clinical portion (As &Bs) i just don't know why I'm have an problem with Lecture. XOXO

Promptly set up an appointment with your professor to go over the exam to review the quiz/test/exam on a one-on-one basis; and, to ask for advice on how to improve. Yes this matters even if you got were to have gotten an 80 and barely passed.

Do break up your study time. Five hours straight is horrendous. Study for 20 minutes, review for 5 minutes, THEN walk away and do something physical for 5 minutes prior to returning to study. When possible review via NCLEX questions; I prefer Lippcott's Q&A for the NCLEX-RN, but use any source that works for you. Try not to cram, and study through out.

For fundamentals, I also found creating study guides based on doing the chapter (or workbook / PowerPoint) objectives for each topic matter. As you read, study, create study guides, etc. be on the lookout for how you might ask questions about the subject matter if you were the teacher.

I do recommend the following videos:

Thank You!!!!!! Im viewing the videos now trying to see exactly what i did wrong. I definitely think i fried my braid my cramming so much info in just one week. Im gonna review notes after classes everyday and take notes while I'm doing them. I definitely want to look into the NCLEX questions because i know these test are a different set of questions and i think i was kinda expecting basic questions. This is so much!! but i really don't want to fail the course because then i would have to wait a wholeeeeeeee year to get back in. Its crazy!!
