Entrance Exam Prep

Nursing Students General Students

I was wondering if ANYONE could give me some advice? I just purchased the entrance exam book for nursing school. I bought in way in advance, I take the test in November.

Does anyone have any advice on how to START preparing??

Please help, I feel overwhelmed after looking at the book.

Thanks :) :)

Which test are you taking? The NET? The NLN?

I found a book for the NET at the library and it had two or more tests in it, one for nurses, and others for techs or something. I just started with the math because that is what I needed the review for the most. I looked at the vocab, but that wasn't on the test. It was a great review.

I took the NLN in January and found that it wasn't anything really that I could study for. Either you know it or you don't. We had 80 questions on vocabulary, 60 math and 80 science questions.

I didn't too bad. 100 is passing and I got a 130. My school offers points for better scores and I got 3 points for my score. I was excited about that!

I'm taking the NLN test. I bought a prep book, but it seems like there are things in there that I wouldn't learn until Nursing classes? The book is by ARCO.

Have you gotten the practice tests that are available? They did help me to exactly see what previous exams were like. They are $10 each but worth the money!
