Anyone know the hours you are in clinical and class each week? Like 6am-2pm or 8-5 on class days?

Make sure you take enough winter clothes!! Lived in Omaha a few years ago and did not like the winter or the culture!! Friends have asked me to come to nursing school there because I am doing an accelerated program as well. Nope!

Well from all the research I've done on accelerated BA-BSN programs, you'd be hard pressed to find a program that isn't mad expensive. Creighton's actually cheaper than most programs out here in California and w/ cost of living differences it's the same as the other program I got into in Philly...I am not looking forward to the no money business but as we all say...it's a year right?? so I guess i can be poor as pucky for a year....but on that note--who knows anything about finding real $$?? I know i'll get some financial aid, but as a 2nd degree student there is no option on the grant pathway. and most of the scholarships i've seen are virtually non-existent. so I'm opting on loans...does anyone have advice on the best lenders?? THANKS!!

I'm currently in the ANC program here at Creighton and will be graduating in August :) Anyway I can try to answer some questions for you if you have specifics or even if you're just curious. In fact I was able to email back and forth w/a girl in the class ahead of me and it helped ease my mind a bit. For now I'm trying to finish up my clinical paperwork for this week but I'll try to pop back in and check this ASAP.

PS - I've had a pretty good experience overall w/the financial aid for this program. I did attend Creighton for my first degree (but most of that was paid for w/scholarship $$ so I'm not one of the 'wealthy' ones....). I am NOT from Nebraska originally, left after my first degree, and did just move back for this program.

Anyway.....back to the paperwork........

Thank you for offering the help. I am also thinking Creighton's ANC for this year. In addition to it's 30K tuition and fees, what is the average living expenses in Omaha and how much time you spend in studying each week? when you start the clinical work, is it in one hospital or you have to commute a lot to different ones? Thanks again for your time.
