Continuing Education

I am just interested in getting feedback from either people who have done it, or people who are thinking about doing it. I am graduating next week from my ADN program and am wondering how difficult it is to take a "breather" and skip a semester before going back to school. I am very accustomed to just going every semester but am really considering taking one semester break to collect myself after this program. Anyone have experience with getting back into the swing of things?

I took 6 months off after finishing my ADN so I could get used to working as an RN. I didn't want the stress of being a new nurse and the stress of trying to finish the BSN at the same time. It was a welcome relief to have a break from writing papers. I graduated May 2015, started working as an RN July 2015 and went back to complete the BSN January 2016. If all goes well, I will graduate with my BSN December 2016.

It was pretty easy getting back in to the swing of things. Working as an RN made a huge difference because you're applying what you learned.
