Anybody actually like nursing school?

I'm getting very nervous about starting NS in three weeks. I understand it's difficult and the workload is grueling; but did anybody enjoy it? I've read countless horror stories about instructors out to get students and bad experiences in clinicals; I'd like to know if anyone had a positive experience? Or, is there anybody who got into nursing school and found that it wasn't as horrible as the stories they heard beforehand?

I've just finished my first year. So far we've not been on any gruelling clinicals yet. I've been on 3 six week placements in the community with health visitors and district nurses which was interesting. So they broke us in gently with Monday-Friday 9 til 5 shifts. My next placements either in a nursing home or a geriatric ward. I'm looking forward to it but I'm very nervous as I've never worked on the wards before. I lack experience in most clinical skills. When out with the district nurses the only skills i got to practice were bed bathing and helping people get dressed.

I am a second year ns and I love school. Yes there have been some ups and downs, but overall I love it. Treeta
