Any good ABSN programs in New England?

Hello everyone,

I will be graduating school in the next few months with a degree is the social sciences. My original profession of interest has turned out to be something that I do not actually like, go figure. So I would have to get some pre req fulfilled as I lack most of them. My sister is a nurse and my aunt as well and I notice how much they love their jobs and nursing has be interesting to me for a while. I am a registered EMT and worked as one for about half a year previously. My main question is does anyone know of any affordable but good ABSN programs in New England, I currently live in New Hampshire and can only find the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Manchester but have heard some iffy things about them. I know of a couple in Maine (UNE and USM).

please define what constitutes an affordable program for you? 10k a year? 30k? Do you qualify for federal need-based aid. Will you qualify for any other aid?

If not, in-state tuition at whatever state/public schools are available in your state, or community college.

Unfortunately none of my state schools offer an absn, the only school in NH that does is MCPHS and it is 60k which is a big pill to swallow. UNE in Maine offers an absn at 35k which is much more reasonable and within my price range. As far as federal assistance I was offered none really in my past experience so I doubt I will be offered any if I pursue an absn.

What about getting an associate's at community college, then bridging to a BSN with an online program while working full time?

unh offers a direct entry masters in nursing You could have your masters in the same amount of time you would spend getting a bsn.
