Accelerated programs

New to the board so hello to everyone! I am trying to locate the best accelerated 2nd degree bsn program out there. If you are a current student in one please let me know what you think. I've browsed lots of programs sites Michigan, Duke, Creighton, UA ect. What I can't learn from these sights is the first hand experience of what the programs are like! I would like to do a 12 month program. I have finished all the pre-reqs so just need to find the best fit now. I've noticed that some programs offer work for tuition programs ie Duke and UA are these something to go for or is it one of those to good to be true situations?

I am not in any of these programs, but I got to talk to students in the accelerated program at Metro State in Denver and they seemed to like it, They said it was VERY intense and they had no life at all, but the training was good.

I also talked to students at Barnes Jewish Hospital College in St Louis. It is not "technically" an accelerated program, but they offer classes in 8-week session and on weekends, so if you have the prereq's you can finish rather quickly. Three students I talked to there loved it. Two of them had tuition paid by Barnes Jewish hospital and one got her loans paid of for a work commitment.

I alos heard of an accelerated 10-12 month program at Our Lady of the Lake College at the New orelans campus. They offer some tuition and a monthly stipend, but they require a 2 year Med-Surg commitment after graduation.
