starting my career on a medical and nephrology unit.

Nurses General Nursing

Hi everyone....

as you can see I am waiting by my mailbox for my registration to come. The darn mailman didn't come today, probably cos of the weather.

Anyhoo...I finished school end of July, went for an interview 12th August for PT position on both a medical and nephrology unit (I would be working between the two units) and at the end of August I was informed I got the job. Didn't apply to work with a temp license because my pass result came within 3 weeks of writing the CRNE (6-8 weeks, please.) anyhoo I've gone and signed the offer of employment, confidentiality agreement, gave them a void cheque for my pay, and done all the occupational health stuff. All thats left is for me to bring in my license when it arrives then they will begin my orientation. For anyone who works on a medical/nephrology unit, what tips could you give a newcomer like me? I'm scared stiff because it feels like forever since i've done any nursing. July 25th was the last day of my pregrad placement and here we are almost 2 months later. Just hoping for some advice on what i can expect.

thanks
