How do I gain the best experience?

Hi! I am a new nurse trying to gain the best experience possible. Of course working in a hospital is the best, but with only 6 months nursing home experience, I am having troubles getting hired on. The catch 22, need experience to get the job, but how do you get the initial experience? Like I said, I have been working in a skilled nursing facility for 6 months. I like it but mostly I feel like a glorified pill pusher. I have been offered a job at a busy family practice clinic. So will the clinic give me more experience and better chance to use my nursing skills? Or do I stay where I am?
