I'm more than just wondering what kind of education everyone has had into pursuing their medical career.? Was it worth it.? Anything you would have changed.?

I decided for myself to graduate early from high school and take advantage of the extra year I have but now I don't know what path to take. :dead:

Healthcare jobs are always at the top for best paying year round and high future growth rates. It also involves short paths and opportunities to grow.

I'm deciding to relocate to Florida and go to community colleges so the tuition wouldn't be as high as a university.

Technical/ workforce certificates are only 1 year but I keep hearing medical assisting can't be branched out into anything else. And that a surgical tech job doesn't have openings. I am really into being in the OR environment. And surgical tech speaks to me but i keep reading that job opening for it aren't available for graduates.

The most obvious is lpn/as that can lead into RN but I missed the deadline to apply and waiting a whole other year missing the point of taking advantage of the year.

Other than surgical tech, respiratory care is my second choice....... I just don't really read anyone speaking of it.

Radiation therapy.????

I want to make the best choice I can. I'm not interested in taking care of elderly or disabled people. Not to be rude or blunt. I'm not squimish and I really want to start this upcoming fall. I really see a future in the operating room and I don't mind gaining experience and starting small into something else.

It would really help hearing what your education path was like.? Please and thank youuu.
