Augusta University BSN 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Has anyone heard back from Augusta University's admissions as far as fall 2018 cohort goes? Also, if anyone has any information on students' opinions that attend Augusta-Athens Campus, please let me know!

I've also applied to Augusta for Fall 2018. My first choice is the Athens campus and my second choice is Augusta. I have a friend also applying who spoke to Sarah Thomas, one of the nursing advisors. She said that there was likely a group of decisions being released after Thanksgiving and another round going out after Christmas. I just recently got all of my materials submitted and collected by Augusta so I'm crossing my fingers that I will hear if I've been admitted sometime after Christmas!

Good luck!!! I've heard a few things like that too. However, I heard there was the one after thanksgiving and after Christmas but I was accepted before thanksgiving and asked someone and they told me they get together and make decisions every other Thursday. I bet they make decisions but don't send them out until those times possibly. I hope you get in!

Do you know anyone else that has gotten in?

I saw you started another thread and I think you are the only one in that group that has gotten in so far! About how long did it take your status to change from "Ready for Review" to "Decision Made"? I asked the Nursing advisor but she said they won't release specific dates. I'm just dying to know, and my family is just as stressed as I am.

Yeah I have a few circulating from when I was freaking out haha. I applied really early so it took a couple of months. They started making decisions in November and that's when I heard.

When did you apply? Did you have shadowing hours? Also, do you know of anyone else at all that's heard back?

I submitted my application November 2nd and everything was verified by the 11th, but Augusta had a few things on their end messed up that I had to have corrected last week. Basically they had an active application for the Spring 2018 term but not the fall, so none of my transcripts had been uploaded and made available to view yet. I got all that sorted out last Wednesday. But as for shadowing hours yes, I did about 80 hours my senior year of high school and then about 15 hours this fall. I made a 91 on the TEAS and have a 3.82 GPA, which I feel is pretty strong, but there is always that scary "what-if" so I'm going to be freaking out until I hear a yes or no....

That's great stats! Definitely don't worry because I don't know of ANYONE else who has been accepted (kinda freaking out abt that cuz I want to know people in my cohort) so I know they haven't accepted a huge percentage. I feel like you got stuff in fairly early...so you have a really great chance! Don't worry...I feel like when I stopped freaking out every day I finally got the letter! Lol. Good luck! Let me know when you hear back or if you know anyone who does!

Awe you're so sweet, thank you! I'll try to keep the freaking out at a minimum! Hopefully we will end up in class together next fall :)

Hey y'all! You guys have such great stats, I'm hoping my essay gets me in haha! I just finished applying to both campuses, but my stats are 3.0 science GPA and 3.37 GPA, 76.7 on TEAS. No time to retake the TEAS :( hopefully my essay helps. Do you guys think I have any chance of getting in?

I definitely think with AU, everyone has a chance due to their extensive application process. I've heard of many instances where someone's experiences really made up for what they were lacking academically. Your stats are better than a few people I know of that have gotten into the Augusta Campus, but I do know the Athens Campus average GPA tends to be around a 3.7. As far as the TEAS goes, if you submit your app and feel that you need to retake it and send the TEAS in again, they will continue to look at every new score you send, which you would actually have time for! Good luck!
