I am a 43 year old male interested in starting the Hybrid-Online program in October 2011. I have taken the TABE and am looking at and completing study guides for the TEAS. I have a few questions I was hoping someone can answer for me:

1. I heard through this forum that points are given for being a male at PTEC. I see nothing on the website that indicates this and wanted to know if anyone can confirm its accuracy.

2. I attended (not graduated) college over 18 years ago and when I left I had a good GPA but I have forgotten alot of science and AP. How much attention is this given on the TEAS and can anyone recommend a different study guide than the ones listed through the API site? Is there anything specific I should brush up on?

3. I read in a few prior posts that PTEC had some challenges a few years ago regarding the online program. Anyone in it now or completed it recently (2010 or since) and what has your experience been?

If anyone has information to share I would appreciate learning as much about it as I can before enrollment. Thanks!
