Florida National College ASN 1 year program

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hello to all,

I'm interested in the ASN program at fnc. I would like to know the opinions from the current students and grads. I contacted the adm. office and this is what they mention to me. The program is regionally accredited (SACS). The program is a 1 year program. Classes are from M-F from 4-10. Clinicals are on weekends. The next start date is May 2011. There is a TEAS test to pass w/t min. passing rate of 75% and there is also a interview. The cost for each credit is $525, so approx it is $24,000 for the 46 credits needed to graduate. The program first started last year 2009 and the first class to take the NCLEX made 100%.

I would like to know from those in the program:

What material can I use to pass the TEAS?

How was the interview and what question do they ask?

How are the classes and clinincals?

For those who are almost done with the program or have already graduated:

Do you feel prepare for the NCLEX?

Everyone interested in the program is welcome to comment!

Hello everyone,

I'm starting the Nursing program at FNC and wanted a little info. I was in the Broward College Nursing program. Which was impossible to pass!!!!! Hopefully it goes better at FNC. I want to know how many times a week are the lectures and clinical days??? Also the books that they use the first semester. I know its fundamentals, but I wanted to know who the Author was. If someone can post the names of the books please. So I can start reading the chapters. I know how intense the program can be :0) Thank you

HI everyone! so I was reading everyone posts because I was also curious about the school. I heard it's a good school. I am going today to turn in a copy of the TEAS test that I took at Keiser University. Is there a minimum score FNC requires.? I'm supposed to meet up with the dean to see if he will accept my scores ( I hope they do because I studied so hard for that test and I do not want to take it again... i got a 76%) I see theres a waiting list but I would love to be accepted for one of the upcoming classes. I did my AA at MDC and I am currently at UM dong my BA in biology. SO let's see what happens. good luck to all of you :)

hi raquel6687

how did it go w/t the school? also, did they accept the teas from keiser?

It went alright. Yes they did accept the TEAS from keiser. They told me that they will let me know ASAP if I got in or not ( i had an interview today) I'm kind of nervous because i do have 3 C's in the pre-reqs and I know they want students who have not taken any classes to stat first. It's very competitive, but let's see what will happen. Ill keep you updated :)

Thanks for the advise. I called and spoke w/t an advisor regarding my teas and he said that they will not accept it. I took my teas V in June at mcfatter for the lpn program. He also stated they will not provide me any living assistance funding from the loans. My biggest thing is finding away to finance my self while in school.

Oh wow! what a bad one. i am sorry to hear that. I just got accepted for the jan 2012 program and i'm a bit nervous, I'm not going to lie. I just want to know if anyone has graduated yet and what to expect when they start the program.
