Sick to stomach before each shift

Does anyone else get sick to their stomach from nervousness before each shift?

I always do and I hate it. I work PM shift and the feeling subside once I get through the 1700 bed pass.

Does anyone have this problem? Does it go away with time? I'm 5.5 months in and I can't wait for it to stop.

i have to say that for me the anxiety is always there, hovering like a shadow. it went away for a short time but it rears it ugly head more so sometimes which is odd that expereince and feeling of aniexty would be inversely proportional in my experience but i have bouts.

i think i personally will always feel a degree of anxiety due to the unknown. the assignment, getting everything done etc.. the sheer responsibility.

even if it would help, i would not want to start taking medication just to get me through a shift at work. i am not compensated enough for that. the anxiety is a reason i wonder how long i am for this profession.:twocents:
