Kaplan % scores=success?

Hello everyone,

Just a simple question for those who may know the answer. How much attention should I pay to the % scores of the Kaplan CDROM questions? I understand that they "tell" you 75% is a good indication you will pass, but it is unclear about if you get less than 75% where you stand. Anyone taken the Kaplan course or understand what I am asking, I would really appreciate the feedback as I take my exam this Thursday upcoming.

In other words, should I continue to use this CDROM in hopes of raising my scores, or simply use them as endurance questions and answer them for practice?

I am taking Kaplan online course. I am still doing practice questions along with the instructor online as we go through each section, but I am close to getting ready to take several sample tests. I have not yet figured a % score out yet for me on practive tests ; i am more concerned with how to approach the question and use strategies to solve the questions. 75% does however sound like a good score to me if it is consistent throughout.

I too had failed NCLEX the first time around and I am preparing again for the exam on October 16th. I feel that Kaplan is helping me to prepare by helping me to examine the question and really understand what it is asking.

I would say to go ahead and keep answering practice questions as this will always help you to approach NCLEX style questions and at the same time I feel will result in getting more questions right which will help improve you overall score on NCLEX. Best wishes as you take your exam. And just remember to make yourself comfortable at the exam and relax, something i failed to do the first time. Good luck on Thursday!
