Hey guys/gals just thought I'd share some information regarding ALEKS. First and foremost I think this is the easiest way to obtain the needed math credits. I already had math credits but Excelsior said they were too old(one from only last year??????) I got approval through my advisor and she said beginner algebra would be suitable to fufill the needed credits(check with your advisor) ALEKS course took me exactly 11 hours to finish (I'm good at math and have taken higher level math classes) total cost was 20 to ALEKS and 25 to ACE for a transcript. Once I submitted if to Excelsior I received correspondence from my advisor stating the credits arrived in time but that future ALEKS credit may not be accepted ( was going to do stats through them for my BSN) because apparently ALEKS is not regionally accredited??? So in conclusion I guess they are debating on whether or not they will accept them in the near future. As of right now its still being accepted so if you are going to use ALEKS do it now. I was going to do it while waiting for the CPNE but glad I did it sooner rather than later.

ACE and outside credit options are reviewed every year to determine if the curriculum still corresponds to EC course content, from what I understand from previous EC posts. Always check with an adviser before taking an outside exam/course.
