Agencies that hire IC RNs

Greetings, folks!

I have my own business license, and am in the process of getting my own web domain name and business page. I have a fax, a computer, a phone. I even have a business bank account, and charge card! What I *don't* have is incoming revenue. I have been working per diem to support myself.

I feel that my experience is good, and my qualifications are good. I keep reading posts from people who work for agencies that hire them as Independant Contractors. Please, people, tell us where these agencies are!

I do not want to hire an independant agent to market me unless I have to. I understand how to market myself, but lack the time and the contact information to do so. It's a bit of a cop-out, and I know the agency will take a cut of money that I could keep, but I need to get my business off the ground here.

I live in North Central California, and would be willing to travel to northern and central coastal California as well as thinking of moving in the next few months to the Washington DC area.
