Greetings all!

I will be purchasing a stethoscope next week for my venture in the ED as a tech. I have noticed in catalogs there are a huge assortments of styles, manufactures, colors, tube lengths, tube single/double, etc. What is possibly going to be a good first time purchase for a "kid" like myself?

Thanks in advance,

Ed

I have a Littman too...absolutely love it!! To help avoid mine from walking away is..ordered pet tags and placed them on my steth w/ some JB weld....I have tried to pry it off myself..for a test... my name tag isn't going anywhere!!!

I use a prestige medical. It's a double tube inside a single tube, so that the tubes can not rub together. It works great and is cheap too it's one of the $20 stethoscopes. Being the only nurse in my building I don't really have to worry about it walking away, but before coming here I always kept mine around my neck or in my pocket.
