I am a nursing student who will be working in the ed as a tech

I am starting to feel overwhelmed at the duties I will be doing and doing them wrong I will be starting my 2nd year in Aug and at our school we do not do a rotation in the er.

Am I in over my head??? I have no nursing experience except school, I dont know if I want the fast paced setting or not.

I just dont want to look stupid or worse mess up.

Any thoughts or suggestions on making it work would be sooooooooooo

appreciated.

Thanks

Congrats!!

I'm in the same position you are. I was hired on the july 11th, and i'm sooo excited!! I start orientation on the 24, and continue on with training that week, and then the next week i start in the ED!! I'm a little scared too, i've wanted this job for probably over a year i finally got it, and i'm scared!! I hate being the new kid, and i like to be a little more confortable with the people i work with, and the skills i need to know!! But i figure i'm going to give it the best shot i have, i've wanted this job for a long time, so i'm going to do my best, and stick with it.

I'm really excited, and i'm excited for you, i wish you luck, and pm me or something and let me know how it goes, we can share stories of our new experiences and we don't have to be alone with learning all the new skills and being the new kid!!

congrats again!!
