hello,

Im an RN from the philippines, just moved to the U.S. 1 year ago and new to this web site, and I would like to work in ER, have almost 2 years experience as an ICU and PACU nurse combined. Currently working in a skilled nursing home, and was wondering if I need to attend some class and undergo certain exam or just to get certified to become an ER nurse.

Thank you,

Apply and see, with your background you may get in without anything you will have to get acls, bls, tncc and pals, also a IV certification and basic rhythm course, concentrate on that if you do not get accepted by an employee. Some ED's will hire you without them only to tell you to get them within 6 months. The CEN is good but not essential at this time. If you can't get work in an ED immediately, I recommend work in an acute care hospital in any unit for 6 months then try again. Good Luck.

hey i was wondering does anybody know whats the real name of the people who work in the nursery after babies are born and what are they called
