Any ER NPs out there?

If there are any ER NPs out there....I would like to know if you need to get the Acute Care Cert or is FNP sufficient? And can you describe your duties in the ER? Thanks in advance!

I am not an ER NP, but we do have quite a few that work in our ER...They rotate between 3 ERs in our system...One is a community ER in which their capacity is to see fast track type patients under the auspices of an Attending Physician...The second is a small freestanding Urban ER (no inpatient hospital attached) there they see all types of patients under the auspices of an Attending Physician...In the 3rd they are in a Level 1 trauma center teaching facility in which they see a lower acuity type patient...but not quite fast track...depends on what kind of patients get put into that pod. I will ask them about the certs for you...
