East TN CNA'S

Nursing Students CNA/MA

I live in middle TN, and plan to move to East TN next year. I was wondering if the pay rate is comparable to here. I make around $9 at a nursing home, but it's taken me quite awhile to get that rate. If anyone could help me out, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

I work in the tri-city area of east tennessee and that pay is pretty much the same as here. Good Luck and Welcome to East Tn!!

I live in East TN (Sevierville area) and I'm taking a CNA course at Walter State in a few weeks. I don't really have a clue what the wages are like here, but I'm guessing for nursing homes it's probably on the low end, around $7 or $8. I think if you can get hired at Fort Sanders though the pay jumps up to over $10.

I live in Memphis TN, West TN. Also I'm a new grad CNA. My base pay is 8.71 a hour. On the weekends for 24 hours I make 13.04/hr. Also its 9.71 for 2nd and 3rd shift. I'll be getting a raise in Nov. Also base pay around the memphis area is 8.50-9.00/hr.

I worked at UT Medical Center a couple years ago, and if I remember correctly, they paid $8.30/hour before any shift differential, etc. I believe Covenant Health facilities (Fort Sanders Parkwest, Fort Sanders Regional, Methodist Medical, etc) paid a little better, but I enjoyed the UT work environment.
