    @Nurse 2b, have u applied?

    Keep, no I haven't applied. I have been to 2 open houses and I'm finishing up three last classes before I start. I plan on applying in May taking the HESI and starting in Sept. i wonder if they will count the last three classes for the Sept start date. I just thought of this. This summer I'm taking Stats, Ethics and Econ and I'd like them to count!!! I may have to wait until my classes are over. Does anyone know?

    I was deemed academically eligible on Tuesday! I may have to take a remedial math, which was a bit unexpected but then again, it has been 9 years since I've sat in a math class and a little refresher probably wouldn't hurt. I restested the placement exam and I am awaiting paperwork for the next steps which I guess is background check and drug screen. Woot! So excited! The catalogue says that LPNs with active licenses can request advanced standing. Has anyone done that or know what that entails?

    Does Chamberlain actually have a loan that's $20,000 because someone was saying that they didn't offer that
  8. by   HisTreasure
    Paperwork I just signed says they offer an interest-bearing loan but doesn't list specifics.

    Are u attending the May session
    Yes. I do my background and drug test next week, along with my pre admission meeting. Have you heard anything?
  11. by   gudoudoh
    I haven't heard anything yet...if you don't mind me asking did u get financial aid
  12. by   HisTreasure
    I do qualify for some aid but I will still have a balance which I'll need a loan for. Also, I need a little extra for room/board type expenses, at least for the first year. I haven't worked out the financing yet, but I'm walking by faith. I figure, if God brought us to it, He'll see us through it. Especially since I didn't expect or intend on going back to school this year... Or anytime in the near future. I have to believe it will all work out because I strongly believe this is His plan-- a part of my story. Do you qualify for financial aid or will you just need the Chamberlain loan?

    I just completed that step with the background check and drug test on Last Thursday and received a call on yesterday letting me know I am officially a Chamberlain Nursing student. I am also starting in May at the Atlanta campus. My next step is registering for my classes and then orientation is the 30th at 10am....I have walked by faith this whole process and will continue throughout, the amount out of pocket was not nearly as bad as I thought, so I am thankful for that. See you at orientation.
