I am wondering if hospitals and/or agencies will pay for your if you agree to come work for them?

Thanks

I don't know much about flight nursing, but I do know a lot about being a CRNA, having been one for many years. When you are young in a profession trauma runs, codes, emergency situations, stat c-sections are all exciting, fun and make for great stories in social situations. But they are all for young folks and after awhile you pay the toll for all of that adrenalin and crazy work hours.

In anesthesia, you can have the same thrills, but when you get older can go on to a more subdued practice, better hours and less stress. I have reached the point in my career that I don't want to give an anesthetic to a young kid whose motorcylcle hit a tree and whose head, chest, abdomen and fractured femur are all being operated on at the same time. Now I can sit with cataract patients, facelifts and breast augmentations and have only gotten called back once in 18 years at night for a hematoma.

CRNAs don't get "burnout" and are much more career orientated than other nurses. So while flight nursing, ER and ICU work are fun when you are young, how are you going to cope when you are 60 and not yet ready for a desk, clipboard job or retirement?
