informations for being a nurse anesthetist

I am currently a BSN, RN working in the geriatric field for almost 5 years. I have decided to get an advance course to be a nurse anesthetist. I am just wondering if there are any other requirements that I should meet other than getting a work experience in an ICU- Surgical for a year prior to proceeding with my plan? Are there schools that excel with offering the course? How much does it cost anyway? I would appreciate any input regarding the matter. Thanks a lot.
