Pack? :chuckle

I always carried a fanny pack as an ICU and flight nurse full of all kinds of stuff that I might or might not need. I am trying to streamline my junk. What do you think are the most important things to have available? TIA.

Thank you so much for the information!!! They sound like must have references! I'll get them ordered so that they are here before clinical start in a couple weeks!!!!!!

Thank you!!

Oh my god, I'm having the hardest time finding the Mass General guide online, even on amazon. I have tried the full name and everything. Could anyone help with the title, publisher, etc and where I could get this?

Jewelcutt,

The reason you cannot find it is because the actual title is: "Clinical Anesthesia Procedures of the Massachusettes General Hospital". Search for this on amazon and you should find it. I do beleive the most current addition is the 6th (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Hope this helps.

Kestrel, don't worry about Peds. Most SRNA's do NOT have any Peds experience either. They teach you everything you will need to know.

I was amazed at how easily I overcame my "Peds shock", although I admit, when I'm doing a Peds case my sphincter tone is much higher than in most other cases.

Thanks folks! It's good to know I'm not the first the first to be worried about converting to 'peds' care!!! Also thanks for the advice on preferential handbooks/references. I know a lot of us newbies are looking for supplements to the required texts-any help we can get!!
