Average Pay

Specialties CRNA

I don't want to be nosey, I'm just trying to determine if the added and stress of CRNA school is worth it in the long run. What do CRNAs start off at, average, and top off at? What kind of days do you work...do you love it (why?)

Thanks,

Nycole

You can get a good idea (by state) if you look on http://www.gaswork.com.

Average CRNA starting salaries range from about $100,000 to $120,000 a year, plus benefits. So, what do you think? Is the stress and aggravation worth it?

Igcv,

I checked out gasworks. I saw where an agency would pay $85/hr plus $25/deim so does that mean $110/hr?!

Yes, that is locum tenens pay, the 25 is per day that is a liitle lower then most per diem. As with floor nursing the pay is higher when you travel.

I just got back from Orlando where the AANA held their annual conference. One of the locum tenens recruiters wanted me to sign up for a position that ended up paying about $220K per year. No kidding. So, if you can travel, you can make a TON of money.
