Anyone applied in CA.

Hi,

I am applying to CRNA programs here in California. I was wondering if anyone out there has recently applied and got in. I will be applying to both Sammuel Merritt and the CSU Fullerton Kaiser program. I really, really, really want in to one of these programs. I am currently a Burn/ICU nurse in a trauma center here in CA. Any advice or experiences from someone who has gone through the process of these two schools would be great.

i was accepted at kaiser and started this august. just try to get the best experience you can at work. i have good exp but i feel humbled by the people i go to school with by just hearing their experience. be yourself, humble yet confident. know hemodynamics. pulmonary function. it will help alot when you get accepted. pm me if you have any specific questions

Since there are so few programs on the West coast, you have to do the preparatory work in order to be competitive. The advice I received (and that proved to be good advice in the end) was to apply to programs outside this region as well if your goal is to begin school within a year.
