I saw a posting for a Case Manager position with Genex - does anyone work for them and willing to answer a few questions (nothing crazy-just stuff like what does your day entail, is it stressful, is the pay comparable to hospital nursing, do you drive a lot)
I hope someone can help!
thanks

I know an RN who works for Genex in California. She is a workers comp case manager. I spoke with her one day and she said that she liked what she was doing but it didn't pay as well as the hospital. She said she makes $28 an hour with benefits and mileage. I think she has a 50-60 mile radius. I hope this helps. She said she sees 2 clients a day.
thanks a lot!! that helps!

I used to. e-mail me privately if you have any specific questions. [email protected]. They were a good company to work for, but as with everything the job is only as good as your manager is. :) Chris

I have a colleague at my current employer who used to work for Genex. Pay was pretty good. Reasonable case load. Here in Ohio, they only do self-insured worker (which is a major plus). As the above poster stated, any job is only as good as the manager you work for. Amen!

How much of your time is one the road and how much work do the cm's for Genex usually do at home? Are there regional meetings, etc? Does Genex compensate for home office expenses?

I used to have a friend who worked for Genex. They paid for her home office expenses and mileage. Her expense check each month was substantial. I believe she had monthly meetings. I hope this helps.
Does anyone know if Genex hires part time case managers?

Any info that anyone can give me on this job with Genex would be greatly appreciated. How much actual time is spent out of the house each day? Is there travel involved every day? The position listed here is listed as a 'work from home' field nurse case management position. It says a driver's license is required. I have a 10 year old who gets out of school at 2om each was not sure if I would be able to be home by then each day so I need to ask questions.
Any details anyone can provide would be very much appreciated. I have a resume in to McKesson for a Disease management position which would be strictly work from home but I am not sure if that will pan out of not. I am trying to explore all of my options. If anyone has any other ideas, I am all ears. Thank you all SOO much!
