Interview

Specialties Cardiac

Hi everyone,

New RN here. I received an email today that I will be having an interview for a cardiology floor. I'm very excited and slightly nervous. If anyone could give me some information on what to expect, or types of questions they may ask me, or overall advise it would be greatly be appreciated. Thank you!

I had my interview for a telemetry floor just a few months ago. They know you are a new nurse, my interviewers just acted like it was a normal interview for any other job. Like what is your goal for the next five years kind of questions (trying to see if you are committed to that facility). A lot of questions on how I communicate in certain situations or what I would do. Not truly nursing related. More like safety questions I guess. Just relax and be yourself :) you will do great!

Good luck! I start next Monday on my floor as a brand new grad :)

How will you handle conflicts, what is patient care center , describe how you influence your coworkers

I agreed with the other comments, in addition I was asked to make up a patient and provide a bedside report. This was the last thing I was asked to do during my interview, I was not prepared for it, must have done ok they offered the job. Just relax and sell yourself you will do great.

Thank you hgwalter91, Nursemex, and onemo for the advise. I really do appreciate it. I did hear back from the employer and they offered me the job! To say the least I'm very excited to start. Again, thank you!!
