HOAE Exam Question

I don't quite understand how the HOAE is graded, my percentiles were 36 Verbal, 19 Arithmetic, Non Verbal 82, Academic Aptitude 45, Spelling 38, Reading Comp 93, Information in the natural science 66, and Vocation Adjustment Index 74. Did, I do terrible? Not smart enough for RPN or RT?

You did pretty good actually so don't give up just yet! I am not sure how they average together these marks but from what i gather the percentile compares you to the pool of people who took the test with you. So for example in the reading comp section you got 93% therefore only 7% of the people who took the test in your comparison pool did better then you. Its hard to say if you will get in for September because the averages are usually higher then for example a JAN start date.

I just wrote the HOAE on Feb 2 and I the grades were posted I tried to calculate an average of the HOAE grades and my HS grades to see if I could get a sense of what would happen...here's what I found out after speaking to the admissions officer...they use a computer program which they put all your grades into then it calculates a SCORE not a percentage...then they use that score to compare you to all the other applicants in that pool...so for example a score that got someone in last year may not be good enough this year or visa versa. It sucks waiting lol

It wasn't hard per sey but difficult you need to know basic sciences and math

I didn't study.for English and did great

The spelling I practiced timed tests online hard to study for as the words are random some were easy some I've never heard of

The math I found hard but I suck at math lol

The spatial reasoning wasn't easy but there's no way to study for that either best of luck when do you write
