just wanted to know if anyone did the CPNRE exam in May 2014. if its possible to give me some study tips or guide as to how to study. I am sitting this exam sept. 2014. thanks everyone

First off, I hope you are not JUST starting to review, given that the exam is coming up very soon!

Now...do you have the ASItest Study prep guide? Or have you taken their online predictor tests? I'd recommend taking one of the online tests, to gauge where your strengths and weaknesses lie. Then I would concentrate on those areas. Review Potter & Perry, common meds (narcotics, insulins, etc), common diseases (COPD, diabetes, MI, etc). Basically, review the "big stuff" from your program.

No I didn't just start studying, but as the day for the exam gets closer I was wondering if there are any last min tips. I had to do the two predictor test at school. Thanks for the advice

Last minute tips:

1) Don't study the day before the exam. Take it off to do something fun and relaxing.

2) Go to bed early the night before the exam.

3) Day of the exam, print out some questions you've already done and do them again just before you go into the exam for confidence.

4) Eat a good breakfast before you write. It sucks being hungry during, though they let me take in a granola bar that I took the wrapper off of, and kept in a clear plastic bag. I munched on it partway through.

5) When you write, transcribe your answers as you go - that way you won't be rushing to transcribe at the end of the exam.

I'm sure there are more if I think about it...:)

Studying is going decently I suppose. Currently using the cpnre prep guide and have completed the predictor test in early August but didn't get the results I was hoping as I need to clean up the critical thinking portion or the exam. I've bought one more of the predictor tests and will plan to use it a week before the actual exam. Thanks sweets21! I'm not sure how to tag people here so my apologies.

It's normal to question if you passed or not. :) I hope the wait passes quickly for you!
