Anyone got any recommendations? :)

I do not live in a compact state, and I had to get a license in the state the camp is in. The camp paid for it. As for taking a long time - depends on the state. I got my Maine (camp) license in about a month. However, I just applied for a CA license and they want fingerprints, transcripts, on and on, and I expect it to take at least 3-4 months.

Is there such a thing as a 'temporary' licensure while you are waiting for the other? Obviously, if you are wanting to work this summer - a 2 or more month wait for licensure would make it impossible to work. I think I've heard of a 3 month temp license but not sure where now.
