Specializes in tele, stepdown/PCU, med/surg.

Hello all,

I'm close to getting a contract at the VA (need to do the testing) and am wanting to hear from nurses who work at the VA in La Jolla and how it is. The nurse manager that interviewed me says that with regards to patients there is a 75% turnover. I can't imagine it but if that's true it means I'll have admissions all the time. Also, she said something about not having a lot of CNAs as they're trying to hire more. How does that work without CNAs? Also, do RNs have to draw their own labs or does lab do it?

The contract is for float pool and just looking to hear from those that know what I can really expect to see if I'm a good fit. Thanks for reading my post.
