Starting Nursing School at Yuba College in CA. Super nervous and need some HELP!

U.S.A. California

So, I attended orientation for Yuba College ADN program last month, and I am greaking out a little. I have so many questions, and I can't seem to get a hold of anyone in the Nursing Dpt., and I don't really know anyone who has graduated from a nursing program either. So here I am, with a GAZILLION questions, and a hope that someone can help me out a bit.

Here are my main concerns:

At the orientation, they seemed VERY disorganized: they called out the Fall 2012 students' names, and said the ret of us will "most likely" be starting in Spring 2013. I have been planning our dream wedding and it is scheduled for May 25, 2013. I cannot seem to find anything with a set schedule for their program - can't get a hold of anyone, and the counselor I did speak to said he thinks I will be taking my final 2 days before my wedding.

I live over an hour away from this school - should I try to relocate closer? Would the first semester be considered one of the more challenging semesters?

I have absolutely ZERO chance of being accepted into another ADN program - it's a long story; to sum up, all schools have been legislated to switch from lottery/waitlist to meritt based selection criteria. So I have to make this work.

I own an online business - will I be able to work while attending?

What is the schedule of first semester ADN like? It is very vague on their website; basically just lists the classes, but no schedule of any sort - how are we supposed to plan our lives ? LOL! Should I expect to be in class every day of the week? And what hours, etc?

My last major concern: I took both pathophysiology and pharmocology online - I really didn't understand either of them completely (I am the type to have to work MUCH harder than my girlfriends in all classes to pull passing grades) and Im super worried about recalling that info. Is it imperitive that I be super comfortable with both patho and physio before the start of the program? Online classes did me NO justice. I need to learn hands on.

I would SOOOOO appreciate any feedback for any of these questions/concerns - I know it's a lot, but I really don't know where else to turn.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi Melissa! Sorry for just now seeing your post. I'm currently in the Yuba College program right now and would be happy to answer any questions that you still had... not sure if you've already got all your questions answered or not.
