I'm not usually the type to forage through online forums, but what can I say - grad school apps are stressing me out! This should get the ball rolling...

Hi dooodaadew! Did you recently apply to the sac campus for spring entry?!! I'm curious because I am a re-applicant from spring entry! I hope you get a call soon :) Remember they do it in waves! Hang in there!

Hi Chlochlo ! Yep, I did ! I was placed on the waitlist in the end, and when L _ _ _ (this forum does not allow me to put names) asked me if I wanted to forward / transfer my application to Oakland, I said yes! haha. Of course, I forwarded updated information to Oakland.

And oo, you're in the same boat as me! I hope we BOTH receive a phone call soon. I remember from the Sacramento campus, the re-applicants had their separate interview after all the first time applicants. Hopefully it's the same here. Thank you for your inspirational words though ! :)

Hey everyone! I have my interview on the 20th at 1 pm... anyone else?

Does anyone know when they stop scheduling for interviews? I'm so nervous bc I didn't get a call yet.

Hey vballtrumpeter, I'm also in the 1pm group on February 9th! It's very nice to meet you! Unfortunately when I tried to message you back, it says I didn't qualify to private message people until I posted a certain amount (or maybe I don't know how?). LOL but yes, it's very nice to meet you. Are you preparing for the interview in any way?

Hi everyone, i am also in waiting boat. So nervous right now. Hoping to recieve call soon

I just got an email for an interview on the 20th for the Case Management Tract. They are offering times 9am to 4pm. Now the nerves will switch to Interview anticipation. Good Luck everyone!

Congrats sweetsas!! I received the same email. Good luck everyone who received invites and those who are patiently waiting!!

@vball I just got your PM and I tried replying but it wouldn't let me. I'm in the 9 AM group this Saturday.

I am in the 9am group. Trying to anticipate some of the questions they will ask, but not sure those questions will be! I am thinking, "Why FNP?" "Why Samuel Merritt?" Any other ideas?

Good luck to everyone interviewing tomorrow! You guys are going to do awesome

Good luck to those interviewing today!

Hi Everyone!! I am really excited for all of you! I am perusing forums because I am trying to decide if the NP or RN route is best for me.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the difference is between the two. I understand the basic difference that NPs have more autonomy and may have the ability to write prescriptions. But both deal with patient care. Is wanting to have more authority really a good reason to become a NP? This reason doesn't seem to have much passion behind it.

I really want to grasp the full meaning of what being a NP really means before I make a decision about really going for it. I don't want to make this decision lightly. Any and all information is appreciated.

Thanks!
