Lvn or west coast university BSN???

I am torn here. I can go to west coast and be in debt about 90k or should I go the lvn route and be done in 13 months and then do the bridge program????Also can anyone recommend a lvn program. I'm in temecula, but willing to go anywhere is the school is just the right fitThanks

It all depends on your priorities. I say the money factor should not be your decision point here, although it is very important to keep in mind as you will need to work around it somehow. An LVN program will definitely get you in the field faster and provide you with great experience to put on your résumé when applying for jobs and schools. If your long term plan is to go beyond the LVN then are you willing to take a year or so just getting in the field preparing to be an LVN then later figure out how to spend more time and effort going back to school? If you'd rather not have the later stress of worrying about getting a BSN just do the BSN program right now. Personally, I feel you'd kinda be doing double work going the LVN route. Not to mention when you calculate the money you'll spend on an LVN program plus the money you'll spend on a bridge rn program plus the cost of living in all the time it takes to get that BSN...it'll be more time, effort, and money to go the LVN route. Be real with yourself and what you want in the bigger picture, figure out the best way to get there for you (not what others tell you). When it comes to the money, there's always ways to sort out the money issue and no matter how much you make money will never stop being and issue. 90k...you'll make more than enough money and have many more resources available to you as a BSN graduate to cover what payments will sort out to be. And if you put the time towards just getting the experience you want when you want then you will be a lot happier and able to focus on the greater goals you may have. Best of luck!
