How do hospitals view an RN that is a Kaplan graduate over a Junior College Graduate? I see Kaplan is approved by the BON, but the JC holds a WASC accreditation and approved by the BON. I have heard that an RN is an RN and most hospitals don't care as long as you passed NCLEX and are an RN, A friend told me this who has been an RN for 3 years. I know that's not a lot of time, but more experience than me. So, I am just looking for more variety of information. One of the things that attracted me to Kaplan is that because of the nature of my lifestyle (military spouse), I never live in one place long enough to be on a wait list and actually finish a program before it's time to move again. But, at the same time I don't want to waste the money if I will have a hard time finding a job. I already have a Bachelor's Degree in a non-nursing field, so I am definitely not looking for a 2nd bachelor's just an entrance into the nursing profession.
