What department do you work in?

U.S.A. Arkansas

I was just wondering what departments everyone works in and what certifications they have...

I am an RN from Jonesboro. I graduated nursing school there in 2002 with my BSN. I got my LPN in progress so I could work. I have worked in ER and SICU. I am currently in CRNA school at Texas Wesleyan University and will be up in Jonesboro at St Bernards to finish starting in January!

Hi! I've been an RN since 1978--AD from College of the Redwoods, went back in 1993 to get a BSN at UAPB. I've worked all over the place, but have been working in CVICU since 1989 and SICU (since forever).

Planning on moving to Eagle Rock (on Table Rock Lake), Missouri, in the next few years and I'm still trying to figure out where I should work--northwest AR or southwest MO--don't know anything about any of the hospitals yet. Going to check on Skaggs at Branson on another recommendation, but still considering working in Rogers or Springdale. Anybody have any information on any of these hospitals? Sure would appreciate any information.

Trella, Hi,

I am relocating to the Rogers' Ar area in the next year or two. I have already been told the pay will be less than I am used to (wichita, Ks). I would also like to hear from others on suggestions where to work in that area. Hopefully we will start our log home in the next year. PJ

Hi!

Are you building your log home around the Beaver Lake area?

I work in the busiest ER in Arkansas. (not Little Rock, believe it or not) I also have experience in ICU and cardiac stepdown, but ER is my niche. I am ACLS, PALS and TNCC certified.

Trella,

Yes, we have land (6-7 acres) on a hilltop. If we build up we will have a lake view in winter. In summer we may just see our forest. We will be the 2nd to build on that hill. [email protected] for replies.

Sounds really pretty. We probably won't start building that soon, but good luck to you.

I work in ICU in a small hospital in south AR. We do alot of cardiac, but also surgical, medical, and neuro. I love what I do and couldn't imagine doing anything else. Would love to work in a bigger cardiac ICU, but family obligations keep me down south. I do enjoy taking care of people that I know or know of through a friend or family member.

I am an RN in ICU in a small south AR hospital. I have been an RN since 1996 after being an LPN for four years. I am currently working toward my BSN. Right now I am taking my last prerequisite for the UAMS fast track--Statistics--UGH!!

Marcicatherine, what ER do you work in?

I work in Med Surg also. Just went back to work in Hospital. Have worked in Long Term Care for 4 years as Charge Nurse. I have also done MDS/Care Plan Cordinator. And I also worked agency which gave me lots of experience in psych, correctional and peds...

Thanks for asking duckboy. I work in Fort Smith. We have a 31 bed ER that is ran by 4 floor nurses and a teamleader, 2 techs (3 if we are lucky) and 2 docs. Need a job? Love to have ya! LOL
