Could anyone give me an idea of the pay rates for RNs in the Hot Springs area hospitals ? I have been an Rn 7 years, was a LPN 18 years. I have experience in med/surge, telemetry, peds, post partum, and most recently LTAC/HOU. My husband and I are thinking of moving to Hot Springs Village soon. We live in Mississippi now but Arkansas is our home state.

I am a new nurse, graduated in May and I started out making $19.00 an hour at a hospital in hot springs plus shift diff.

Thanks beckaboo! That at least gives me an idea . I appreciate the response! Happy Thanksgiving!

Your Welcome! Also if you go in the float pool, which it sounds like you could be in speciality float pool, you make more money. I don't know how much more though. I do know that if I was to go PRN I would make $8 more an hour but lose my health insurance. With your experience you would make more anyway. I know we need nurses pretty bad. I hope this helps! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow $8 dollars more for PRN? That's good. Do you mind telling me which hospital? And what is night shift differential if you know ? Thanks again !

The night shift differential is $3.5 from 3 p - 11p and $4.5 from 11p - 7 a. I can text, call u or email u the name I don't know if I should put that on here!

While there are a couple of hospitals in Hot Springs you could attempt to work at, I would recommend looking at hospitals in Little Rock. Hot Springs Village is about an hour from Little Rock and the average pay, that I have heard from friends, is higher in the capital city. Plus, you are looking at 2 hospitals in Hot Springs, there are approximately 6 in Little Rock.

Just remember: PRN nurses do make more money, but they are not offered benefits (hence why they are paid more).

Thanks NurseStephen! I will consider that. I knew Little Rock wasn't too far away . And I believe there is another hospital in Benton close by as well ? I'll check them all out. PRN is always my first choice. But my husband has always carried our insurance . That may change when we move to Arkansas as he may be retiring early due to his rheumatoid arthritis .
