Hello, turtletyme,

Have you asked them what this is and what is expected of you? I am not familiar with VA requirements.

There are courses in Clinical Dimensions of Nursing Practice, but not sure if this applies here or not.

The nine dimensions are:practice, quality of care, performance,education/career development, collegiality, ethics, collaboration, research, and resource utilization. Once you answer each of these in a paragraph or more this is suppose to help the VA figure out at what level your salary will start. The more examples that I can provide the better it will be. I read somewhere the nine dimensions were established by the Nurse Professional Standards Boards .

This is from '99, but might assist you getting started; from Department of Veterans Affairs

As I said, there are courses in the clnical dimensions of nursing practice and you might find some info googling that, too.

Good luck. Hope things work out well for you.

You are welcome.

I'm about to interview with the VA. The manager who called to request an interview only briefly mentioned that there would be some questions about "research and ethics, etc.". I'll be ready to fire off some paragraphs now that I've read your post! I would really appreciate any further info about the nature of the questions.
